University e-Learning

Being One’s Own Healer

Majid Ali, M.D.

The Mission Statement of the University (AVUIM) offers the first reason for participating in its e-learning with the following words: "The vision at the The American Virtual University of Integrative Medicine is shared global efforts for freedom—of thought, hopes, and action. Specifically, it is to assure freedom of access to undistorted information about toxicities of foods, environments, and chronic anger in the populations of the world."

We live highly chemicalized and stressed lives. Chronic inflammatory, immune, and degenerative disorders are caused by the trio of the toxicities of foods, environments, and thoughts. Chronic infections are initiated with microbes but their long-term control and freedom from recurrences also depends on nutritional, environmental, and stress-related elements. None of these problems can be addressed long-term with drugs, nor are there any effective gene therapies.

To underscore the crucial matter of access to health information free from the nefarious influences of the health-corporate-complex, I include several articles in my "Lap Dog Joe Series" at this site.

I also cite here one example. In my care of patients with chronic inflammatory, immune, and degenerative disorders, I find the following five therapies to be the safest, most effective, and least expensive:

.  Feather Breathing

.  Peroxide foot soaks/ baths

.  Castor / sesame oil rubs

.   Lecithin/protein/flaxseed/

        vegetable Breakfast Shakes

.  Insulin Reduction Recipes

I have been a student of medicine for 53 years. For four decades, I have diligently searched and tested a wide range of natural remedies. It is on the basis of that work that I chose the above fivesome to be my most commonly prescribed therapies. I point out that I have not seen any medical Lapdog Joe publish a meaningful series of articles on any of these subjects.

Recently, I bought a copy of The Johns Hopkins Complete Home Guide to Symptoms & Remedies. I searched the index of the book for entries to any of the above elements. Not surprisingly, I found none. Some readers may ask, "What is so special about these items?" The answer: These five therapies were determined to be the safest, most effective, and least expensive used by a physician with nearly half a century of clinical experience, who received certification in surgery by The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1968, was on the faculty of the Department of Pathology of Columbia University in New York, served as the professor and President of Capital University of Integrative Medicine for ten years, and cared for over 9,000 patients over a period of twenty-five years. That individual, of course, is myself. Indeed, I founded Wiki-Medical to counter gross misinformation about nondrug empirical therapies spread by writers (on the payroll of drug companies) of some of the most prestigious universities in America.

Being One’s Own Primary Physician

Being One’s Own Primary Physician is a no-cost public service program (the "Program") offered on-line by Wiki-Medical. The purpose of the program is to offer authentic, non-commercial information to individuals interested in taking responsibility for health preservation and disease prevention.

The Program is designed to be flexible to serve individual needs. It is suggested the participants choose one of the following three options:

A. Learning the basics of health and personal health preservation

B. Learning the basic principles of good health with a focus on personal chronic health issues

C. Beginning or continuing a life-long journey of learning, understanding, and knowing

The Program includes a large number of tutorials, most of them well-supported by video seminars (lasting 90 or more minutes). Specifically, Wiki-Medical’s Program:

Invites participants to take primary responsibility for their health;

Is open to people of all ages and backgrounds;

Does not require any medical or science background; is internet-based at

www.ethics7.org;

Is structured to be a self-learning and self-empowering program;

Creates schedule flexibility to suit your specific needs; and

Recommends that you decide how many tutorials you wish to complete each week and diligently follow that schedule—be true to yourself, since no one will embarrass you to do so—until you are ready to take an exam to find out how well you did.

The Program does not:

Offer guidelines for treating acute illness;

Interfere with patient-doctor relationships;

Recommend or promote commercial products, except learning and teaching materials.

Philosophy of the University E-Program

Disease is a state of separation from one’s nature. Since no one else can know one’s nature —nor the degrees of separation from it—one can have only one authentic physician: oneself.

Diseases do not descend from mountains nor do they emerge from oceans. This leaves us with four sources of illness: genes, foods, environments, and thoughts. Since no gene therapies are available for reversing any diseases, it follows that there are only three primary causes of diseases:

.  Toxic foods,

.  Toxic environments, and

.  Toxic thoughts.

Since no one can save another from the above trio of toxicities long term, it follows that no one can be an authentic primary physician for someone else. In acute illness, one cannot be one’s primary physician; in chronic illness, one must serve that role. It is simplistic to imagine that some doctor can take responsibility for one’s toxic choices in the kitchen, avoidance of environmental toxicities, or mending one’s unique complement of toxic thoughts. This is a pragmatic view of an integrative physician, not a delusional plausibility of an ideologue.

I hope you will consider the Program. It should serve you well for life.

Kindest regards,

Majid Ali, M.D., Co-Founder
