Dr. Ali's Spicy Breakfast Yogurts

Majid Ali, M.D.

 

My healthiest, most time-efficient, and delicious breakfast is one of my spicy yogurts. My other preferred spice prescriptions are my spicy protein shakes or spicy omelettes.

Following is the recipe for my spicy yogurt. I suggest that you reduce the amounts of spices by 50% or more when you first try it, then increase the amounts after you know there are no stomach intolerance issues. I expect you would want to skip some spices or change their amounts to see if you make the protein shake taste more desirable for you.

 

Ingredients for Spicy Breakfast Yogurt for Two

 

Whole Milk Yogurt               Eight ounces

Garlic powder                      One teaspoon

Ginger powder                    One-half teaspoon

Turmeric powder                One-half teaspoon

Caynne pepper powder     One-fourth teaspoon

Cinnamon                             One-half teaspoon

Stevia sweetener                To personal taste
                                       (I use stevia equivalent to two teaspoons of sugar)

There is never a valid reason for missing breakfast. So strong is my conviction on the subjects of the need and the optimal type of breakfast that I seldom complete a visit with one of my patients without addressing it. Indeed, next to the subject of chronic anger I devote more time energyóand energyó to the matter of "Dr. Ali's breakfast" than any other subject. In this chapter, I present information about what I consider to be a good breakfast and offer my reasons for my position on the subject.
